Consider this a final farewell to Fashion Month. Below are the drips and drabs from my screenshot folder that I’m holding onto for inspiration.
Subscribe now ^^^ Because next week I’m sharing every item I’ve collected for Spring + Summer so far, a ton of items to snag on sale, my Anti-Capsule Wishlist, and my thoughts/finds from Printemps (my preliminary thoughts below). If you want a sneak peek, I’m revamping my ShopMy in preparation.
The Last of the PFW File Folder
I wish I could poll if you, gentle reader, enjoy reading these runway reviews as much as I like to write them. It’s a lot of information to sift through and I’m sure your attention span is just as bad as mine is these days, but I love the methodical process of filtering every show through the lens of convertible wearability and creative aspiration.
These runway reviews take forever and a half to complete; I comb through every single designer that showed, not just the names you’ve heard of, screenshotting everything I find remotely interesting as I go. It’s often there that I find the most interesting minds.
New On The Block: Flagging Dutch designer Duran Lantik and rising French designer Maitrepierre:

Quick thoughts: (1) My closet is ready for a mini dress in this print and silhouette, note the thigh-high structured boots (Leandra Medine has been rocking a Gucci pair I love recently- these from Jeffrey Campbell and these from Paris Texas look like good dupes.) (2) this stork sweater feels like a cool update to the Ralph Lauren heritage knits (it’s reminding me of that Golf le Fleur one I foolishly passed up, this JW Anderson sweater also a cool update to that knit. (3)(4) Pattern on Pattern play is good here, will be doing the plaid on plaid, plaid on camo this Fall. (5) Wondering if that circular tubing around her center is removable? (6) Now that’s a skant!!

(1) Ready to wear to a wedding, flagging the t-shirt layer. I’ll have to style some of my dressier pieces this way (2) Hunting for a jersey top, saw this one at Kith last week, and also need those pants (3) Me in an outfit (4) Re: wedding guest dress, but love the idea of getting extra wears out of it by layering a sporty zip-up over.
Cool Kids Deliver: Check Acne and Rabanne

(1) This alone or with a pair of jeans cannot be beat. The shape of that shoulder is perfection. (2) Suiting exactly how I like it: structured, slightly oversized, masculine silhouette on the jacket but with femme details. (3) There’s that thigh-high boot again! Details to note: the buttons on that jacket and the purple ribbon. I’m intrigued. (4) Stealing this styling just need an extra exaggerated scarf! These won’t fit the bill, but here are some anti-capsule scarves I’m looking at: Dries on sale, Loewe to match my Rowing Blazers Sweater, and new Dries to die for.

(1) Came across this PVC raincoat for a great price. I think I’m going to snag. (2) I caved and bought one of those old Paco disc shirts on Vestiare Collective (my VC finds here) a while back, even though it breaks every time I wear it I think it could be cool to layer under a slip dress or over one. (3) Pinning two blazers to get this layered look could be cool, need to invest in some cool broaches first. (4) I like these slubby metallic socks for styling my Zara MaryJanes (which I’m thrilled look like an exact dupe of those- already sold out unfort.)
Unsung Hero: Lacoste
Lacoste never gets the attention they deserve, they are the real cool kids.

(1) Another opportunity for layering my Paco top, this time over a T-shirt paired with trousers. (2) Really into this sleek but sporty situation, but I’m going to have to wait until something like this hits the market. (3) I love this oversized party polo, I’ve been looking at this from Dries and this from Tory for a while, but might wait until this comes out for the next Holiday season!

Kahki has kind of been my color of the last two summers, but I think I’m going to amp it up a bit this upcoming summer. I’ve always liked these Dries pants, but they feel a bit dorkier than these comfy Lacoste options (1) (2). Also hunting for a similar knit polo, I’m obsessing over this from Alexander Wang, liked this from Zara, but also want a simpler option like this for layering over a t-shirt. (2) Copy + Paste into my closet, please. My shorts are getting longer and longer by the day.
Boho Spectrum Realized: Chloe vs. Marant

On one end of the spectrum, billowing sheers from Chloe. This isn’t exactly my style, but it isn’t exactly not. I think my closet could use a blouse similar to (1). There are a lot of options available right now at H&M, Zara, and Mango to get you this look for summer. I think I’m going to hold out until I find something that really speaks to me, otherwise I think it will read inauthentic when on. Alternatively, if I was a bride right now I’d be calling everyone I know to get my hands on (2)(3).

On the skater punk side of the spectrum is Isabel Marant, which is way more my speed (had a phase similar to this early High School when I exclusively wore ripped graphic tees and thought wearing Lincoln Park Afterdark made me a badass.) (1) I want this whole look down to the tights. These look like a close match. A follower DM’d me this skirt and I might have to grab it. (2) Rinse + Repeat come Fall (3) THAT SCARF. Can I make my own with safety pins???
Last Licks: The Bits + Bobs Worth Remarking On

(1) Obsessed. (2) Double-obsessed (any ideas on where I can find a similar sweater?) (3) Looking to The Frankie Shop for a skirt like that for Fall, will style exactly like this with a collar under my long-sleeve Polo.

Faire Aisles for Fall, got it?

White tank layered over a black t-shirt, got it?

Other Good Shiz: (1) Christopher Esber was cool girl. Love this whole look. (2) Again, wearing my clothes backward. Re: Zomer. (3) Swatching for color palettes. (4) Double T-shirt layering under a lace dress, check, check, check. (5)(6) Puffed and padded t-shirt layering (will be buying when/if available.)
Selfish Delights: What I’m Doing This Weekend
If you’ve been following me on socials you know by now I study successful department stores for work and after 5 visits to Paris in 2024 and several before that, I consider myself somewhat of an expert, all of which is to say, Printemps is one of my absolute favorites. The NYC department store scene is…..dry?…. stale?….boring? BAD? Idk. All of the above. So I’m excited to see if Printemps brings some of that Parisian je ne sais quoi to the shopping scene.
I’m apprehensive for a few reasons: 1. The US does not have the same shopping culture as Europe. Have you noticed that department stores are dying here, but over there they’re as busy as ever? Department stores are fully integrated into the laisse-faire European way of life- their grab + go work lunch is found in the foodcourt of Harrods or Le Bon Marche, their post-work drinks are at the same, plus they have no problem taking a little shopping break in the middle of the day- all of which is not exactly an acceptable in our corporate culture. 2. Lighting doesn’t strike the same spot twice AKA it’s almost impossible to replicate something so good. Desperate to be wrong here. 3. Location + Assortment These points need to be coupled. The location is generally inconvenient for 90% of New Yorkers which makes me wonder if people will journey to one tip of Manhattan for the experience. If the assortment and food + beverage offering is good, they most certainly will. But, if it’s the same selection as Bloomies, Saks, and BG I don’t see why people would go out of their way to go to Pintemps once the novelty of newness wears off.
I hope (and pray!!) that Printemps defies these odds. Will report back!
The Manhattan Vintage show is back this weekend and I’m a sucker for the kind of unique finds you can score there. I’m trying to be more fiscally responsible but my willpower goes out the door around vintage, so my plan is to go LOOK and look only. For research purposes, of course. I’ll share what I find.
Recently discovered Sushi 456 and I can’t tell if I’ve been living under a rock or stumbled upon a hidden gem- either way, I cannot stop thinking, breathing, or eating this Sushi. Seriously, it’s becoming a problem.
My proximity to Bonberi Mart is becoming a problem as well, I’m using ~health~ as an excuse to justify the damage to my wallet. I recommend going on Sunday and stocking up on lunches to bring to work for the week. Recently I’m loving the Beet Tartare, Bean and Avocado Combo, Quinoa Salad, Lentil Salad, and the JF collab salad (Visuals + Real Time Review Here.) If you can get your hands on a chocolate muffin, grab 2 (MINIMUM!!) The same rule applies to Jackson’s Sweet Potato Chips, I plan on walking there this afternoon to restock.
Merci, c’est Vintage Le Pop-Up
Merci, c’est Vintage is one of my favorite Instagram follows of all time. Their curation is really unlike any vintage seller I’ve encountered. Once (sometimes twice) a year they do a pop-up at the Fifth Avenue Hotel where they tap unique brands like Delarge and up-and-comers like Rae the Label for an exemplary shopping experience. This year, they have tapped Rome-favorite Schostal for a selection of pajamas and I immediately called my Mom to tell her the good news. GENIUS move. If you’re not as chronically online as I am, let me tell you- they are the best pajamas in the entire world and have a cult-iykyk-following. Harry Styles is a notorious fan of the family-run brand, but I can attest that they truly are the best. My Mom, sister, and I each got a set this past summer in Rome, and at $200-250 a pair we were apprehensive to say the least, but after a year of wearing them almost exclusively, I would honestly say that’s a fair price that I would pay again for another set. We rave about their cooling capability. This addition is worth dropping what you’re doing and heading over which is why I’m telling you in advance- mark your calendars!
On the agenda 2.28: Everything catching my eye- the unrealistic, the attainable, mostly linkable, and (hopefully) inspirational shopping edit for Spring and Summer.

Amazing stack, per usual!
Why do I feel like I’m going to be seeing you in backwards clothing? Reverse blazers?
