Contributor Column 001: Hadley Greene
Meet HHG, creative mastermind and professional aesthlete molding the minds of Gen Z.
Welcome to the first installment of Selfish Delight’s Contributor Column!
A guest column released the first Friday of every month, written by my favorite follows: fabulous internet friends (who have become even better real-life friends), found through late-night social scrolls, forged by one DM after another, deepened by shopping cart swaps and the sharing of each other's Selfish Delights.
MEET HHG!!!
Meet Hadley Greene, rather famously known as HHG, one of my favorite internet follows with an impeccable eye and a closet that would make even the most esteemed fashion lovers envious.
I’m not sure that I can pinpoint her style succinctly (don’t put baby in a box!), but I will say she has this kind of magnetic cool factor that makes me stop my scroll and wonder where the hell she found whatever funky piece she’s wearing. It's certainly nothing that I’ve seen on the internet before. I’m ashamed to admit it, but often times I find myself screenshotting and reverse google searching- whether I want a closer look at the details on a new belt she’s wearing, zooming in on a piece of art on the wall behind her, or scouring the internet for the striped chair in corner of her living room- my screenshots folder is 10% HHG.
After countless DMs, weekly voicenotes, and a NYC rendezvous at The Pearl Box, I can confirm: she really is the real deal. And unfortunately… is 20x cooler IRL. Annoying, I know.
I highly recommend following her on IG here and here…and subscribing to her Substack here.
For a peek into her mind and closet (and styling help), scroll her website full of Goodies here.

OKAY, HI! Who are you?
Hiiii y’all, I’m Hadley!! I’m Louisiana-bred but LA-based, and it is SUCH an honor to collaborate with Mags here on Selfish Delights. I adore her and her heart, her substack, and her closet.
Ditto. Match made in heaven.
Tell us- what do you do for work? And one tip you would give someone looking for a job in your field?
At current, I work remotely as a jewelry designer for Milliard Diamond Concierge - I interned here in college, and it is a joy and privilege to be back. I also just began independently as a creative consultant - I launched my website last month and have been slammed styling clients!
One tip I would give anyone trying to break into the creative industry is to be a sponge (incredibly teachable). Also, to network like your life depends on it, no matter what room you walk into–life is about relationships!
If you could work in another industry, which would it be?
If I could work in another professional field, it would be as an interior designer. I moved last year into my first big-girl apartment and had an absolute field day collecting and curating my space.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Trailblazing, authentic, and intentional.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Procuring inspiration isn’t necessarily voluntary for me, any and everything can serve as a vessel for creativity, and it often finds me when I’m not actively seeking it -- furniture, photographs, textiles, magazines, flowers at the farmers market, candlesticks on my dining table, the texture of the tiles in a restaurant bathroom, Vogue Runway app, etc.
Best Bite and Best Sip you’ve had recently:
Best Bite: Caviar mozzarella sticks at Carne Mare in Nashville
Best Sip: Watermelon margarita at Stagecoach.

Current Hyper-Fixation + Current Hot Take?
Hyper Fixation: Where to begin?! Lucy Williams’ home tour on the Times Living with Style (admittedly, I rewatch this biweekly), my Dorsey yellow huggies, this solid perfume I hang in my closet that keeps my clothes fresh, pimento cheese.
Hot Take: Olives are grossssssss.
A Red Flag + Green Flag about yourself?
Red Flag: I get McDonald’s Diet Coke so much that the worker knows me by name.
Green Flag: I play Words with Friends with my grandmother every day.
A trip you’re desperate to go on?
I'm itching to visit Tokyo!!! The art, food, fashion, culture, matcha - all of it is calling my name.
Creators you love to follow?
Kelly Wearstler, Courtney Grow, Diana May, Simon Porte Jacquemus

Some Housekeeping:
I’m embarrassed by my lack of Stack consistency- life got in the way these last two weeks- sickness, holidays, traveling, etc... all the things. I solemnly swear to be better.
On the agenda 5.9 (HOW IS IT MAY ALREADY?!): The Interiors Edit I promised. OR would you rather a dissertation on Tops? Because I am
